What is the TDECU Make a Payment Service?

This service allows you to pay on your TDECU loans from non-TDECU accounts using an external debit card or bank account.

What channels are available when using the TDECU Make a Payment Service?

The following channels are available for making a payment to your TDECU loan using this service:

What information do I need to use this service?

All you will need is the Primary Loan Account Holder’s:

  • Loan account number
  • Date of birth
  • Last 4 digits of social security number
  • BUSINESS ACCOUNTS ONLY: Last 4 digits of Business Account EIN
  • BUSINESS ACCOUNTS ONLY: Use 00/00/0000 as the DOB

Please Note: Full loan numbers can be located by logging in to Digital Banking or by viewing your monthly account statement.

What are some features of using the Make a Payment Service?

This service offers several helpful features including the ability to:

  • Save debit card or bank account information for future use
  • Future-date loan payments up to five (5) days
  • Post payments the same day if scheduled before 6 p.m. CST
  • View recent and pending payments to avoid duplicates
  • English and Spanish options available when calling (877) 255-1400 to make a payment over the phone

What loan types can be paid using the Make a Payment Service?

All loans, except credit cards, less than 60 days delinquent in which you are the primary or joint may be paid using this service.

Can I use this service if my loan is past due?

Loans must be less than 60 days delinquent to use the TDECU Make a Payment Service through, or via the services automated phone system.

I received an error stating - “Your account number cannot be verified. Please check for errors and resubmit” – what went wrong?

Incorrect information may have been entered. Please note, you must log in with your specific loan account number – not your Member number. Loan account numbers can be located by logging in to Digital Banking or by viewing your monthly account statement.

Are partial payments accepted?

Yes. You can make a partial payment on your TDECU loan using the Make a Payment Service.

Are principal-only payments accepted?

No. At this time principal-only payments are unable to be processed using this service.

Can I use my TDECU debit card or checking/savings account to make a payment?

No. Payments made to a TDECU Loan from a TDECU debit card or checking/savings accounts are not allowed using this service.

You can pay a loan using your TDECU account by making a transfer through Digital Banking, by calling Member Care at (800) 839-1154 or by visiting any TDECU Member Center.

How can I check the status of my payment?

To check the status of a payment simply log in to the One-time Payment portal on, then select the “Recent/Pending Payments” option at the top right corner of the screen to view the status of your previous payments.

Can I cancel my payment after it is submitted?

Only payments in a ‘pending’ status may be cancelled once submitted.

Can I use a credit card to make a payment using this service?

No. The ability to make payments using a credit card is not offered. However, you can make a payment using the following methods:
  • Debit card
  • One-time ACH transfer from another financial institution
Alternately, you can make a payment to your TDECU loan by transferring funds from your TDECU account through digital banking, Maxine telephone banking services or by setting up a recurring transfer by visiting a Member Center or calling Member Care at (800) 839-1154.

Can I schedule my payment for a future date?

Yes. Payments submitted through the Make a Payment Service may be future-dated up to five (5) days.

Can I set up recurring payments using this service?

Yes. You can set up recurring payments to your TDECU loan from another financial institution by contacting TDECU Member Care at (800) 839-1154.

Is there a limit to the dollar amount I can pay using this service?

Yes. Loan payments are limited to $5,000 using this service.

Is there a limit to the number of payments I can make using this service?

No. At this time, there are no limits to the number of payments that can be made using this service.

If I am traveling out of the country, will I be able to use the TDECU Make a Payment Service while outside of the United States?

Yes. This service may be accessed from the following locations:

United States of America, U.S. Territories, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey, and Ukraine

I paid off my loan but have not received my title yet. How long does it take for a title to be issued?

If you are paying off your auto loan, please note TDECU will release the title 10 business days after your loan is paid in full.
