Platinum Mastercard® Frequently Asked Questions

How old do you need to be to apply for a credit card?

You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a credit card.

What information does TDECU require when I apply for a credit card?

You will need to provide information such as your Social Security number, date of birth, employment information and income details.

How long will it take to receive my credit card?

You will receive your card 7-10 days after you are approved or from when your replacement is requested.

What is an APR?

Annual Percentage Rate. Credit cards state the interest rate as an annual rate. This indicates how expensive a transaction will be if you finance it over that time. To avoid paying interest, you can take advantage of your grace period by making your payments on time.

What is the grace period?

The grace period is the time during which you are allowed to pay your credit card bill without having to pay interest, as long as you pay your balance in full. This is a period between the end of a billing cycle and the date your payment is due. TDECU’s grace period is 25 days.

Do TDECU credit cards charge annual fees?

No, none of our credit cards charge annual fees.

How can I request my card to look like the Buc-ee's card?

Who doesn't love the Buc-ee's card look? While you still get all the benefits of the Buc-ee's card with your Platinum card, if you would like the look of the Buc-ee's card, please request it by calling our Member Care team at (800) 839-1154 or visiting one of TDECU's local Member Centers.
