At TDECU your financial well-being is our top priority, and ensuring you stay informed of potential risks is just one more thing we do to improve lives for our Members. In response to a recent nationwide spike in fraudulent activity, we wanted to remind you that while TDECU may call you to enhance your Member Experience, for security reasons, we will NEVER ask for your full account number, card number or social security number. If you receive a call or email from anyone requesting your full account number, card number or social security number or feel uncomfortable in any way, you should end the call and contact us directly at 800.839.1154 or come into a Member Center.
It is always important to be mindful of suspicious activity, including the following scams:
- Some thieves may pose as TDECU employees and ask for sensitive information in order to gain access to your accounts.
- Fraudsters may call from a number that appears to be TDECU, and/or someone claiming to be a representative of TDECU alerting you of fraudulent activity.
- You may receive an email from TDECU with verification codes that you did not request, or the communication is requesting sensitive information.
It is also important to check your accounts frequently accounts whether on your phone, tablet or personal computer. Do not use obvious passwords and change them often to avoid unwanted access to your accounts.
Again, if you receive any suspicious calls or emails, please immediately end the communication and contact our dedicated Member Care team at 800.839.1154 or come into a Member Center.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call us or send a secure message. We are always here to help!
