Important Information — Protecting Yourself Online

TDECU and other legitimate companies, will NOT contact you by e-mail to verify your personal or account related information.

If you feel you are a victim of identity theft, your first step is to inform your financial institutions of the problem. Click here for the Sworn Statement of Identity Theft.

If you receive a suspicious email:

  • Do NOT open the email
  • Do NOT click on any links in the email
  • Do NOT open any attachments to the email
  • Forward the fraudulent email to emailfraud@tdecu.org
  • Delete the email immediately

If you’re unsure whether an email originating from TDECU is legitimate, contact TDECU’s Member Care Center at (979) 297-1154 or (800) 839-1154.
