TDECU REACHES $1 BILLION IN LOAN GROWTH

LAKE JACKSON, TX (June 2007) - The Board of Directors and Executive Team of TDECU recently announced that as of May 31, the credit union reached and surpassed a 50-year milestone of attaining $1 billion in total loans. Accordingly, TDECU is now ranked in the top 50 credit unions, out of more than 8,500 nationwide, with respect to loan portfolios.

"It's another high point for the entire membership of TDECU," said Marcus Stephenson, chairman of the board of directors of TDECU. "Our goal is to be there for our members as they face financial challenges and making solid loans to the good people of our community is a real testament to that. TDECU is locally owned by its members and our mission is to return affordable and easy financial solutions to all our neighbors. Those solutions include high yield deposit accounts, low-cost loans, and enhanced services."

"TDECU highly prioritizes affordability in its loans," Paul Perdue, vice president risk management said. "While achieving $1 billion in loans is a milestone for TDECU, the ability to offer mortgage, business, and consumer loans as well as credit cards at competitive rates to our membership is important to us."

Members are clearly reaping the benefits of TDECU's efforts. "I've been a member of the credit union since 1984. I enjoy the fact that I can get good rates and fast service when getting a loan," said Billy Sims.
