Offering Members a Lifetime of Financial Services
Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU), chartered in 1954, began operations in January of 1955 out of a file cabinet drawer at the Franklin Insurance Agency. After one year of operation, TDECU had 698 members and $34,163 in assets. The credit union's ensuing 50 years have seen incredible growth in members, assets, products and services.

As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, TDECU is owned and operated by its members. The not-for-profit status allows the credit union to return all earnings, beyond operating expenses and reserve requirements, to its members in the form of higher dividends on deposit accounts, lower interest rates on loans, and competitive products and services. Founded on the philosophy of "People Helping People," TDECU is committed to providing excellent financial products and services to its member-owners.

Today, TDECU is the largest locally-owned financial institution along the Texas Gulf Coast with assets over $1 billion and more than 100,000 member-owners. TDECU serves the employees and retirees of Dow Chemical Company Texas Operations and many other area companies, as well as family members of the employees and retirees. The credit union has a network of 11 branches, in Lake Jackson, Angleton, Brazoria, Cuero, Hallettsville, Houston, La Porte, Seadrift, Texas City, Victoria and Victoria Mall. For your convenience Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are located at each branch and with TDECU's partnership with the Allpoint Network members have access to over 32,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide.

The TDECU Board, management and staff look forward to serving you and hope you will consider us for all of your financial needs.
