Despite a lackluster housing market, TDECU Real Estate, LLC continues to show strong performance in terms of growth. It ranked as the top real estate firm in Lake Jackson/Brazoria County for the third quarter, eclipsing the number two real estate broker by more than 40%. In addition, TDECU agents accounted for three of the top 10 agents in Brazoria County for units sold and sales volume during September. They are: Tammie Bell (#1); Ryan Birdsong (#5); and Shayne McGehee (#8). TDECU Real Estate’s ranking in its local market is in sharp contrast to the dismal national housing market. From March through August of this year, U.S. home sales were the weakest on record since the first statistics were reported in 1963. “TDECU’s acquisition of Birdsong Real Estate in May of this year has proven to be a great partnership for both organizations, and has provided tremendous expansion opportunities in the real estate business,” said Timothy D. Belton, President and CEO of TDECU Holdings LLC and CEO of TDECU Insurance Agency LLC. “TDECU Real Estate has already begun helping members in Harris County and Victoria, where it plans to soon open additional realty offices.” “TDECU Real Estate’s strong track record of growth is a direct result of our focus on our members’ needs, and particularly, member benefits,” said Ed Birdsong, President of TDECU Real Estate – Powered by Birdsong. “The benefits include sharing 20 percent of our commission with both buyers and sellers at closing, in addition to soon offering discounts and incentives on mortgage loans, title services and home owners insurance. Our members have enjoyed the end-to-end home buying services and expertise we offer. With TDECU’s competitive mortgage rates and stable housing prices in our core markets, there has never been a better time to trade a rent payment for an investment in a home.” For additional information, visit TDECU Real Estate's website.
