As residents of the Texas gulf coast, we've learned a lot about preparing for hurricanes. These storms are part of life here and we get a little better at dealing with them each time we experience a storm. Some say the experience makes us stronger. At TDECU, we agree.

We were here for you during Rita and Ike. We got through both natural disasters together, and we finished up with a stronger sense of friendship and community.

Helping you in time of need is why we exist. TDECU wants you to know we have procedures in place to deliver uninterrupted service to all our members. So here's our promise to you.

Before the storm we will:

  • Keep our branches open until the official mandatory evacuation order is issued.
  • Announce a closing time for branches most likely to be impacted so our employees can obey the mandatory evacuation order.
  • Keep branches open in areas not directly affected by the storm.
  • Enable access to your money at all ATMs within a 100 mile radius of the branch.
  • Advance emergency loans for hotel, meals and estimated miscellaneous expenses prior to evacuation.

During the storm we will:

  • Protect your personal financial data in a secure back-up location far from harm's way staffed by TDECU professionals.
  • Provide uninterrupted service and access to emergency money through online banking, credit union service centers, TDECU Visa or MasterCard credit cards, as well as through 37,000 free ATMs throughout the U.S.
  • Keep you informed of TDECU's ongoing operations, open and closed branches, and storm updates. Just check our website or call 800-839-1154.

After the storm we will:

  • Provide loans for repairs to your home or business and replacement of contents and equipment.
  • Increase available funds on your TDECU credit card for unexpected expenses, clean-up or loss of time on the job.
  • Consolidate your multiple payments into one low-interest payment to help you balance your budget.
  • Allow you to skip up to 2 monthly loan payments at no penalty to allow you breathing room to catch up.

AND NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO, TDECU KEEPS YOU CONNECTED.
