We are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your personal and private information. TDECU strives to make your banking as convenient as possible while keeping your information secure. There are now many ways to access your banking information through TDECU ranging from in person to online to your mobile phone. These different options come with different risks to your privacy. In order to help protect your information, we have created this Customer Awareness Program page so that you will have a central location to view TDECU policies and security recommendations. Two critical components to keeping your information secure are as follows:
- Keep sensitive information such as social security number, account number(s), PIN number(s), ATM card(s) and checkbook(s) in a secure location. We strongly suggest that you do not share this information with anyone.
- TDECU will contact you by email from time to time in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will never initiate a request for you to send us your personal or account related information via e-mail, unrequested telephone call or text message. That includes sensitive information such as social security number, account number(s), PIN number(s) or login information (id and/or passwords), nor will we ask for you to verify your account information through email, unrequested telephone call or text. If you feel you’ve received a suspicious unrequested telephone call, email or text, please report it to emailfraud@tdecu.org immediately.
